This pattern was born from wanting to knit a sock that had a nice pattern rhythm, could travel well, and would work in solid, semisolid, and variegated colorways.
If you look closely, you can see that the leg pattern resembles some of the flowering plants in the Heliconia family, hence the pattern’s name.
